Alongside easy, efficient operability, we consider the protection of your personal data to be a top priority. The protection of your privacy is a key concern for us when processing personal data and we take this into account in all our business processes.

Therefore, we always process personal data collected during a visit to our website in line with the provisions governing data protection in the respective country in which the party responsible for data processing is located.

In this Data Policy, we explain which personal data is collected on our website. We also explain how this data is used and the measures that TREPEL takes to protect your data.

What is personal data?

Personal data means any information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual, pursuant to section 3 paragraph 1 of the BDSG. This includes information such as your name, address, telephone number, and date of birth. Data which cannot be traced to you, such as statistical data, is not personal data.

What data is collected on the TREPEL website?

For the purposes of system security, our web server temporarily stores the connection data, such as the date and duration of visit, identification data of the browser and operating system used, the subpages visited on our website and if required, the website from which you have visited us, as well as your computer’s IP address. This data is not linked to the data of a natural person.

With the exception of the IP address, personal data is only stored if you have provided us with this data voluntarily, e.g. during registration, an application, for sending information, for inquiries via the website contact form, or to initiate or execute a contractual agreement. By providing this data, you consent to the use of this data for the specific purpose.

You may revoke your consent at any time with immediate effect.

How does TREPEL use the collected data?

The data we collect when you visit our website is used exclusively to ensure the smooth running of the website and to improve our services and, as a rule, cannot be used to draw any conclusions about you. Provided that you have given your consent, we will use the data we collect to offer you personalized information or inform you of offers that may be of interest to you.

If we collect any further information about you during registration or order processing, this data will be used exclusively for the purposes of implementing the contractual relationship. Information on individual users collected on our website is used for company purposes only. We may also use the information to inform you of offers or improvements which may be of interest to you only if you have granted your consent beforehand or if statutory provisions permit this and if you have not submitted an objection in this respect. However, the data is always used for the purpose for which it was collected. Data shall not be disclosed to third parties for commercial or non-commercial purposes, other than in the event that you have consented to such disclosure of data.

You can revoke your consent to this use of your personal data at any time with immediate effect.
